<title>fish report</title>
<description> Flounder, black drum, spanish mack, whiting, blue fish...the usual fare for pier fishing. n0ot many kings being caught, need to move on offshore. Some large black tip sharks have been caught in the last week or so.... pier fishing is good now and will only improve as the fall approaches...

<title>Where are the Kings?</title>
<description>King macks have not come in close to shore in any&amp;nbsp; numbers...however, running out to 80-100 ft can produce some fair numbers. Large spanish are being caought in the 2-3 mile range with plenty of smaller spanish everywhere from the surf out.... the bottom fishing&amp;nbsp; has been steady with nice nymbers of groupers, bass and AJ's being taken.&#60;br clear="all"></description>

<title>Tarpon?</title>
<description>  Yep....Tarpon have been caught from the piers receently, up to 70 lbs....It is rare but you never know. King Macks have been caught in fairly good numbers. Usual fare&amp;nbsp; of surf fish.... Trout, Flounder&amp;nbsp; in teh early mornings. Shark fishing at night. Massive ray caught at Ocean Crest today.  &#60;br clear="all"></description>

<title>Surf &amp; Backwater  Report</title>
<description>Those pasky little sharks have been making fisherman cuss a l0ot lately. However, when you can avoid them there are still Whiting, some Spot, Pompano and Blues running around. Trout bite in the mornings has been OK, get there early. Black Drum at the point and around structure in teh backwaters. Flounder biting very strong on mud minnows. Trout and Redrum are still strong in the backwaters, creeks and coves. Do not overlook the Davis Canal....&#60;br clear="all"></description>

<title>Offshore Report</title>
<description>Kings are biting in the usual locations. Spanish has slowed some lately but there is still a good morning bite around Lockwood, the River Channel and Hot Hole. Mahi Mahi have been hit or miss, but when the bite is on the fishing can be fast and furious with several hook ups at one time. Shark fishing has been relatively good. Stilol the usual fare int the Stream for those willing to make the run.&#60;br clear="all"></description>

<description>Whiting are stilll biting good in the surf and on the pier. Flounder are now starting to show on the piers and backwaters. Those who have a boat can find good numbers of both in the Cape Fear river and backwaters behind Bald Head Island.&amp;nbsp;Whiting are hitting shrimp and bloodworms. Flounder, as usual, prefer the mud minnows.&#60;br clear="all"></description>

<description> Large Whiting/Croakers&amp;nbsp;are being caught in the surf now. Some of the largest Whiting we have seen in a few years. They are biting bloodworms and artificial bloodworms very well. Shrimp is always a good backup.
