However, when you can avoid them there are still Whiting, some Spot, Pompano and Blues running around. Trout bite in the mornings has been OK, get there early. Black Drum at the point and around structure in teh backwaters. Flounder biting very strong on mud minnows. Trout and Redrum are still strong in the backwaters, creeks and coves. Spanish has slowed some lately but there is still a good morning bite around Lockwood, the River Channel and Hot Hole. Mahi Mahi have been hit or miss, but when the bite is on the fishing can be fast and furious with several hook ups at one time. Shark fishing has been relatively good.
